The Woodland Sunrise Rotary Foundation works with local partners to enrich people's lives and enhance the vitality of our community. We achieve this by investing in the areas of Education and Literacy, Health and Wellness, Quality of Life and Safe Living.

Foundation Endowments
Watts Family Scholarship:
Awards a scholarship to an area student that wants to go into Aviation or the trades.
Thomas Vail Endowment:
Tom Vail was our Charter President. Contributions of any amount are accepted. Individuals who contribute $1,000 to the WSRF and designate it for this endowment, will be awarded a Tom Vail Fellowship recognition. Please click on the Tom Vail Endowment option on the contribution drop down menu above to make a donation. Earnings from this endowment are used for our charitable purpose.
The Foundation Board consists of:
President of the Rotary Club of Woodland Sunrise
Immediate five Past Presidents of the Club
Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Woodland Sunrise
Two members from the Woodland community
Two other Past Presidents
The board meets four times a year to review grant requests in July, October, January, and April).
The Woodland Sunrise Rotary Club hosts an event each fall to raise money for the Foundation. The money generated from this event goes into our endowment funds and our general spending fund. The general spending fund is used to allocate grants for community projects.
What kind of grants will WSRF fund?
WSRF will fund requests for capital improvement projects. WSRF does not fund requests for operating funds for an organization or salaries for a program. We fund requests from the following areas of concern:
Education and Literacy
Health and Wellness
Quality of Life
Safe Living
The Woodland Sunrise Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
